Snow Angel Layout for Gina's Designs Lasercuts, Featuring Papers from The Robin's Nest

Hello friends! Today I am sharing my layout with you which features the lovely papers and cut outs from The Robin's Nest.  This is our third year working with the team over there and we were super happy to be able to create with this fun set of paper designs.
I chose to do a layout this time as I just loved this Snow Angel Paper!  Gina's garden fairies, snowflakes, and pine tree shape set went really well and kept with in the theme I was going for.
I layered on lots of lovely venise trim and flowers from Kraftsupplies4U, and then tucked in some of the snowflake cut outs we got with our Robin's Nest Papers.
I heat embossed the Fairies with some white and gold powder and then touched up their wings with some silver and gold Silk Acrylic Glazes.  The snowflakes were also heat embossed and then I added some fun Prima Bling to the center of each.

The pine trees were a lot of fun to make, I used more of the Silks Acrylic Glazes on them in some blue and green tones and then topped them off with some Snow Tex to give a wintery feel.  The lovely lady in the photo above I thought went perfectly with the snow angel theme and I surrounded her with some rosette trim and snowflakes.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layout!  I had lots of fun creating with The Robin's Nest Papers, you can check out their site HERE for more information.

Shabby Chic Heart Wall Hanging Gina's Designs DT Project

Hello friends! Today I would like to share with you this beautiful heart wall hanging. This is a fairly new product in Gina's store, and it's perfect for Valentine's Day!  I wanted to do it up in a shabby vintage style. This fun project is hanging in my craft room.
I first painted the hearts in the colors to go in my craft room. The first and last ones are a light pink. I then tore up some lovely rose themed paper and mod podged it in different spots on the hearts. For the center of each one, I dangled the smaller heart by punching a hole and using jump rings to attach them.  I then layered on more of the paper and the corrugated cardboard that comes with the wall hanging. I added some texture paste for dimension.  The birds from the Build A Layout Love Birds set were heat embossed.
I attached some crocheted lace to each piece to create the wall hanging.
For the two middle hearts I painted them in a teal color, then layered on some paper to match and cut up a vintage pink doily to lay over the top. I used some of Gina's gorgeous wings, which I heat embossed. I then added an angel and flowers to each to finish them off.

Lastly, the final heart got the same treatment as the first pink one. I added a metal number 14 to represent Valentine's Day, a pretty cameo, and flowers as well.
I hope you enjoyed my project today! Pick up one of these for yourself or give it to a friend for a great Valentine's Gift.

No Girls Allowed! A Special DT Project for Gina's Designs

Hello friends! Kim here today, and  I have a very special little designer to share with you, my Grandson Brayden.
Brayden is 5 years old and loves to paint and color. When he came to my house for Christmas he wanted to do some crafting so I got out the new boy's only set from Gina's and he decided to make a door plaque for his bedroom using the All Boy Shape Set and the door hanger.
He painted all the chipboard himself and choose all the colors that he liked. He wanted the robot piece to be holding a kite, and why not? Robots like kites too!
After all the pieces were painted, he chose two different blue colors of paint and mixed them up and painted the door hanger.  Once dried I helped him glue all the pieces on where he wanted them to go.
And here is the finished product! You can see he is very happy with the outcome!

I am very proud of my Grandson, he did a wonderful job on his door hanger. This is the wonderful thing about Gina's Chipboard items they are great for any age to play with!

Hello friends, happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a fun mixed media canvas I have created for a very special little lady named Alice.  Alice is the grand daughter of a dear friend of mine and I created this canvas for her room.
I started off with some pink floral paper I had in my stash then layered on some sprays in pastel pinks and blues.  I took a Crafter's Workshop alphabet stencil for more layering and then it was time to embellish with the amazing custom Alice in Wonderland chipboard pieces that Gina custom created for me.
I gave Alice an all over embossing with a light blue embossing powder and used a white Sharpie paint pen to draw on her white apron. I gave the little teapot some silver embossing powder and positioned the piece on the canvas to make it appear that it was pouring out the letters to Alice's name.
Above here you can see the lovely White Rabbit who was embossed with some chunky white embossing powder. I added some hot pink stickers to him to make him stand out and used the Heart Scribble Frame around him along with the "Curiousier and Curiousier" sentiment which came with the Alice Set.
Finally, I added the tea pot from the Tea Time shape set, and used some white paint and a clock stencil to give it dimension.  Some flowers, laces and resin pieces finished off the canvas.
I hope you have enjoyed this fun trip "down the rabbit hole" with me!
