Mixed Media Artist Trading Coins White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This week the team is featuring some embossing techniques using lots of amazing items from the WRC Store.
I have created my first Artist Trading Coins using the Abstract & Geometric ATC's. These coin bases are made out of laser cut chipboard and are super fun to alter!

I wanted the background to be fairly neutral, so I am using, believe it or not, some Christmas paper. The Craft Creations paper Christmas Scrolls gave me the neutral base I was looking for, but also had a small touch of gold that I thought would suit the coins.

I placed my coins on the paper and drew circles around them and then cut out the paper for the back of the coin.

I gave the coins a coat of gesso, as a primer to have them ready to use my embossing powder.  I used a clear embossing ink on the coins and sprinkled my powder on top. I used two different colours from my stash to give the coins the mottled look you see below.

On this first one, I added a fun key embellishment from Melissa Francis from the WRC store. I used a Tim Holtz sentiment from the small talk set from my stash on each of the coins.

For this one, I used some of the laser cut  wooden gears from the WRC Store and added a little bit of bling to the centres of them.

The next one has an embossed wooden arrow with a little butterfly charm on it.

And, finally I think this one might be my favorite, a little wooden heart with bling and the words, just breathe.  All the coins have some Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal on them, its my favorite and I use it on everything!

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here!

Junk Journal Embellishments ScraPerfect DT

Good morning ScraPerfect fans, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.
I have created some fun paper embellishments for a junk journal.

The Best Glue Ever is so handy for this project! I used it on all of my embellies, and with the Large No Clog Writing Cap, its makes for easy work!

The Best Glue Ever also works well with the yarn butterfly I used on top of the paper.

I also used several of the Wheels of Embellies on my pieces.

Paper envelope with vintage wall paper and the pearls from the Wheel of Embellies.

Ephemera with more Wheel of Embellie goodies!

And once again the final projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here.

Use Your Wings Mixed Media Tag White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
I have created a fun and whimsical tag featuring Altair Art items from the WRC Store.

For the base of my tag I used the Graphic 45 Flutter Paper and I am using the Butterflies and Flowers ephemera sheet to fussy cut out the butterflies I used on the tag.

I also am using the Ever Dream Ephemera Sheet as well. I love this one so much the colours are just so springy, and who doesn't love dreamcatchers?

I layered on the pieces I cut out using some dimensional tape to really give it some depth. Once I had my tag laid out the way I wanted it and everything was secure, I got out some Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal and gave the whole tag some sparkle!

A final touch was some fun fibers in coordinating colours, I also sewed some of the fibers around the edge of the tag for lots of fun texture.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and have found some inspiration here today.

Spring Joy Card White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT Project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have opted to make a fun spring themed card, using lots of wonderful items from the White Rose Crafts store!

I am also following along with our monthly sketch challenge, as you can see above. If you would like to also follow along, then please join the White Rose Crafts Gallery group on Facebook.

My card base is made from the Neenah A2 Heavy Weight cards & envelopes package and I am using some of the gorgeous new mulberry paper from the WRC store on my card. I started off with the beautiful blue for the background.

I also used some of the Graphic 45 Flutter paper for a floral accent and layered on a piece of chipboard from the word sentiment set. I painted and embossed the word Joy from the Dream Word Set, then went over it with the Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal to give it a final sparkle.

I also used some of the double edged lace from the WRC store and some Recollections flowers on top of more of the mulberry paper, which I cut into squares.

Don't forget to decorate your envelope too! I used my left over mulberry paper scraps to add a quick and easy colourful touch to my envelope.

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here.
