In My Heart Junk Journal White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts
Today I have created a junk journal using the gorgeous Yesterday paper by Lemoncraft from the WRC store.

After making the cover of the journal with the paper line, I decorated the front of the journal with some of the gorgeous Recollections flowers and the matching epoxy embellishments.

I created a fun pocket on the cover using the same Lemoncraft paper. I added an image, sentiment, lace and lace heart to embellish the tag.

On the inside cover, I created a flip using more of the paper. The inside of the journal has coffee dyed paper, music paper and more of the Lemoncraft papers to fill up the journal.

I also altered this coffee dyed envelope by fussy cutting out some of the gorgeous roses from the paper, and edging the envelope with some Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo. I added a little bit of lace tatting and some stamping to finish it off.

I bound the journal with embroidery floss and added some vintage buttons to the side as well.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and will make a shabby junk journal yourself.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here!

Shabby Chic 6 Pocket Card & Tags White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This month White Rose is starting something new for 2020, a mood board, and I was very inspired by a few of the colours in the board.   I choose to work with the light pinks and soft blues.  I used the gorgeous Yesterday paper by Lemoncraft for this project.

I was inspired to do this project from a YouTube video I watched by folding a 12 x 12 sheet of paper in such a way that you get 6 pockets in it and it opens up with spaces to place tags and envelopes.  I made them all out of the same paper from Lemoncraft.

I used some of the Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs from the WRC Shop on the front and also on the tags, the black text gave a good contrast to the soft pinks and whites. I also used some of the Recollections flowers on the front as well. A bit of lace from my stash and an altered key that I made finish off the front.

Inside you can see I kept it simple with more of the tags and envelopes tucked in the pockets. I added 2 doilies and 2 more of the Recollections flowers inside. You can see more of the Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs on the tags and envelopes.  I edged the whole card, all the tags and envelopes with some Tattered Rose Distress Oxide to give it more pink!

You can see here all the extras I made out of the paper that fit neatly inside this pocket card.  I am sending this off to a friend, and I may also tuck a bit of goodies inside the card as well for a little surprise, there is lots of room with all these pockets!

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here.

Simple And Easy Cards For White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
I wanted to make a couple of simple and easy cards this week to send off to some friends.

I used the Graphic 45 paper called Flutter from the WRC store for the cards. I used the 8 x 8 pad, and folded one of the pieces in half, cut one card at 5 x 5 and one 3 x 3 to get my two little cards.

I added some of the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and Botanical ephemera from my stash and topped the cards off with some of the Tim Holtz Mirrored Stars to add some dimension and sparkle.
These cards were super easy to make, and not being much of a card maker myself, this was a quick and fun project.

I hope you will give this a try. Thanks for stopping by.

Lavender & Lace Junk Journal For White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
I have created a lovely lavender and lace junk journal using some gorgeous Crafts Creations Paper and some Pion Paper as well.

I hand dyed all the paper inside the journal using purple cabbage! This gave the pages a lovely purple/blue colour. There is also some vintage music paper inside as well that I dyed.
The cover is the Craft Creations Pink and Blue Flowers Paper. I also layered some laces that I also dyed in the purple cabbage on the front of the journal.

I used the Tim Holtz Label Clips and to put on the front cover as a focal piece. Along with some paper flowers and ribbon roses.

I used one of the Tim Holtz Pen Nibs on the corner of the lovely Pion Paper image, with some hand dyed lace and another paper flower.

The pages have hand dyed ruffle trim on them to make them look pretty and shabby.

The inside cover has this lovely tuck spot which is also from the Pion Paper.

I added this gorgeous lavender flower from some vintage wall paper as a nice tuck spot in the middle of the journal.

Here you can see the lovey hand dyed paper and lace ruffles.

The back of the journal has more of the hand dyed laces on top of the Craft Creations Paper.

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mixed Media Artist Trading Coins White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This week the team is featuring some embossing techniques using lots of amazing items from the WRC Store.
I have created my first Artist Trading Coins using the Abstract & Geometric ATC's. These coin bases are made out of laser cut chipboard and are super fun to alter!

I wanted the background to be fairly neutral, so I am using, believe it or not, some Christmas paper. The Craft Creations paper Christmas Scrolls gave me the neutral base I was looking for, but also had a small touch of gold that I thought would suit the coins.

I placed my coins on the paper and drew circles around them and then cut out the paper for the back of the coin.

I gave the coins a coat of gesso, as a primer to have them ready to use my embossing powder.  I used a clear embossing ink on the coins and sprinkled my powder on top. I used two different colours from my stash to give the coins the mottled look you see below.

On this first one, I added a fun key embellishment from Melissa Francis from the WRC store. I used a Tim Holtz sentiment from the small talk set from my stash on each of the coins.

For this one, I used some of the laser cut  wooden gears from the WRC Store and added a little bit of bling to the centres of them.

The next one has an embossed wooden arrow with a little butterfly charm on it.

And, finally I think this one might be my favorite, a little wooden heart with bling and the words, just breathe.  All the coins have some Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal on them, its my favorite and I use it on everything!

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here!

We are starting off the New Year with a sketch challenge!

I then layered on lots of pieces from the collection, in the style of the sketch challenge, and edged all the papers with the Distress Ink Vintage Photo from WRC.

I added a fun little wooden crown from my stash and used some of the Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard to give the crown some sparkle!

I hope you will give this fun sketch a try, and check out all the great items in the White Rose Crafts Store!

Make A Wish Mixed Media Box White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning everyone, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts
But, first a little announcement!
Run over and check out all the amazing Your Next Stamp goodies in the White Rose Store and get your 10% off discount.

Now, on to my project.  With Christmas coming, I have been super busy creating goodies to give to friends and relatives. I started off my box with the Lemoncraft paper called Christmas Carols
I used the 12 x 12 paper and scored in at 2 inches and snipped the corners to fold the top. I repeated the process for the bottom of the box as well, but scored it at 1 3/4 and snipped the corners so they would fold.

The paper has a beautiful music theme on the top of it which I loved but I wanted to shabby it up a little and added a bit of gesso and used the Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass to give it a lovely blue hue.

Once that was done I used the Couture Creations stencil called "Be Merry" and some texture paste. While the paste was wet, I added some shabby blue embossing powder and some blue glitter and heat set it. Now the stars look so pretty and glittery! You can also see the little Dress it up Unicorn Baubles in the top left corner,  peeking out from the Recollections Flowers I used to decorate the corner of the box. I also added one of the Dress It Up Snowflake buttons just above the sentiment as well.

I framed the box with some soft laces from my stash around the edges.

I used the Couture Creations layered snow flake die, and embossed the snowflakes with the same embossing powder and topped them off with a rhinestone for some really amazing shine and glitter!

Lastly, I used the Altair Art butterflies ephemera sheet, which I cut out from  and glued them down. A finishing touch was the Crystal glitter glue from Dovecraft, it really brought the butterflies to life.
As you can see I used a ton of amazing items from the White Rose Craft Store!

I hope you like my project I have shared today and found some inspiration here !
