The Victorian Man Mini Journal ScraPerfect DT

Good morning ScraPerfect Fans, I am here today with my next DT project! I made a fun mini junk journal this time, featuring this very dapper Victorian Man on the Cover.
I used the Tim Holtz Found Relatives Cards for the front and back cover for the journal.

For the spine, I used some vintage embroidery from a table runner, I coffee dyed it and it worked out great!

I punched at hole in the journal to add a fun little tag with a handsome stamped image on top of it.

Once I had the base together, it was time to add my coffee dyed papers. I made 2 signatures, and with the help of the Best Glue Ever, I popped a few dots of the glue in my knots to tie the signatures and this will help to keep them from ever coming undone.

I also used BGE on several other elements throughout my journal, including adding some lace to the cover, and adding some of the Rhinestone Wheel of Embellies to the centre of my Penny Farthing Bicycle.

I also added some BGE to the spine of the signatures to help hold them in the book when I bound the book.

For some of the pockets, I created tags using masculine fabrics, that I got as samples from furniture companies in the mail. These are FREE and great to use on a project like this!

I also used BGE to glue in the pocket on the inside cover from more of my free sample material.

A doily, vintage fabric button and coffee dyed sari silk finished off my tags.

And once again, here he is, a wee little ode to all the father's out there, past and present, whom we all love.
Happy Father's Day!

Mixed Media Altered Playing Cards ScraPerfect DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.
This time I have altered some fun cards mixed media style.
These cards were gifted to me by a friend and feature some of the worlds most famous authors.

I kept the image of the author as a focal point and used The Best Glue Ever to adhere all my embellishments down.

I used the Pearl Wheel of Embellies on my cards as well, as the pearls are tiny enough to fit nicely on the cards.

The Best Glue Ever is so great for a project like this, as it will hold down the paper, the sentiments, small bits of fabric and lace, and even the glitter glass you see in the top left corner of the card.

I also used the Best Glue ever for the heavier embellishment of the dangle bead you see on the right side of the Bronte Sister card above, and it worked! The Best Glue Ever
once again lives up to its name!!

I hope you will give some cards like this a try.

Junk Journal Embellishments ScraPerfect DT

Good morning ScraPerfect fans, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.
I have created some fun paper embellishments for a junk journal.

The Best Glue Ever is so handy for this project! I used it on all of my embellies, and with the Large No Clog Writing Cap, its makes for easy work!

The Best Glue Ever also works well with the yarn butterfly I used on top of the paper.

I also used several of the Wheels of Embellies on my pieces.

Paper envelope with vintage wall paper and the pearls from the Wheel of Embellies.

Ephemera with more Wheel of Embellie goodies!

And once again the final projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here.

Be Brave Mixed Media Post Card for ScraPerfect DT

Good morning ScraPerfect Fans! Kim here today with my next DT Project for ScraPerfect.
This time I have done a mixed media post card.
With the help of The Best Glue Ever, this post card was super easy to make.
I added some tissue paper to the background and a few flower stamps first, then added some splatters of pink and blue paint.

I stamped my main image from a Prima girl stamp on to some vintage book paper, and used some watered down paint to colour her in.  I added some silk thread on top of the post card and then used more of the Best Glue Ever to hold my image down on the card.
After I had adhered the main image, I used a couple of flowers from the Wheel of Embellies to add to the flower in her hair.

A pretty blue flower, wooden ampersand and a Tim Holtz chipboard sentiment finished off my post card.

I hope you like my project for today, don't forget to check out the ScraPerfect store for all the goodies they have in stock!

Teeny Weenie Boxes For ScraPerfect

Good morning ScraPerfect Fans! I have created some teenie weenie boxes this time with a vintage vibe to them.  This is a super simple project and with the help of the ScraPerfect  products, you can make these tiny boxes for stocking stuffers, or pop a little suprise inside for someone special.

I started off with some 2 inch paper mache boxes and then gave them a coat of gesso. Once the gesso was dry, I used some Prima Art Alchemy paints in my favorite colours. Once I was done painting, I used The Best Cleaner Ever to clean my brushes. This stuff is amazing!! It cleans my brushes and leaves the bristles so soft!

When the paint was dry, I got out some Lindy's Stamp Gang mica powder in marigold gold red. I dusted the boxes with it, and it gave them a lovely shimmer.

r
I then used the Best Glue Ever to place little doilies from KS4U on the top of the boxes and I also used some embroidery floss in coordinating colours to add texture to the top of the boxes. My Best Glue Ever has the No Clog Writing Cap on it, so I use minimal glue and it always flows nicely!

I then added some of the Tim Holtz paper dolls, and some of the pretty flowers from the Wheel of Embellies. All glued down with the Best Glue Ever.

I added a bit of lace from KS4U around the boxes and then took more of the embroidery floss and wrapped it around the lids and bases to finish them off.

A few pearls and flowers added a final touch.

I hope you like my teenie weenie boxes I have created, they were so easy and fun to make!

Mixed Media ATC's For ScraPerfect

Good morning ScraPerfect fans, Kim here today with my next DT project!
This time I have created some mixed media ATC's I am sending off to a friend for her YouTube challenge she is having.

I started off with some white acrylic paints as a base coat.

Next, I got out some of my Lindy's Sprays and started to add some colour.

Now its time for The Best Glue Ever and some torn paper scraps from my stash. I laid them down first to see where I wanted them, then added some of the glue to hold them on the wood surface.

Once the paper was down I used another colour of Lindy's on top to add another dimension.

Now its time to get out my stamps. I started with a script stamp for the background, then I used this Tim Holtz Stamp of the 3 gentlemen. However, the stamp lifted some of the paint up and stuck to the stamp, no problem tho, The Best Cleaner Ever will clean that right up!

Sometimes we have little accidents like this on our art, and if it happens, its just another reason to make your art unique!

Now I am placing some more of the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap to some random places on the ATC's. I will let it dry and get tacky for the next step.

Here I am adding some of the Transfer Foils to the tacky glue. I used 2 different colours of the foils on each.

Here is the ATC's with the foils on them.

Next step is a bit more Best Glue Ever and some glitter glass!

After the glitter glass I then added some of the Gold Lux Mix for some sparkle!

A word or phrase and a couple of metal embellishments and I am almost done!

I thought a finishing touch would be nice so I used the Wheel of Embellies to add a little flower to each of the wings, I think it finished the ATC's off nicely!

I hope you like my project today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
