Now, on to my project!  This time I have altered a small box that held a birthday gift to me from a "deer" friend...(see what I did there?? lol). I have altered the box with a cute little deer now for some holiday gift giving fun.

I painted with gesso all over the box to give it an undercoat.

Next, I added a piece of the Tales of You & Me watercolour paper to the top of the box, this paper has a resist pattern on it, so when you add your paints and sprays it reveals the images.

I used some pearl white and silver watercolours and lots of water on the paper.

I also added a bit of light blue spray and some water to give it a frosty look.

Now its time for some stencilling! I used the Deer Head stencil from Momenta and some of the Aleene's Glitter Snow from White Rose Crafts.  After I added the glitter snow, I added some extra Martha Stewart glitter on top and now my little deer really sparkles!

I also added some of my favorite Dress it Up embellishments from WRC, the snowflake buttons and the unicorn baubles to the corner of the box.

I wrapped some of the American Crafts Glitter Ribbon in silver and blue around the edge of the box for more holiday sparkle.

And once again here is my finished little gift box, complete with some Doodles Paper Playground sparkle blend sequins and a little sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here!
