ATC Fun ScraPerfect

 

Good morning everyone! Kim F., here today with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.

This time I have created some simple and easy ATC's for a friend.

 

 

 

I am using some wooden ATC's from Fernli Designs and I got out some embellishments and laid them out to get an idea of what I wanted to do.

 

I painted both ATC's, one pink and one blue. I cut out some coordinating paper and used the Best Glue Ever as it works so great to stick paper down to wood.

 

You can see how little glue you actually need to use to make the paper adhere to the wood.

 

Here is where I am so far with the project.  Now on to some embossing!

 

I used some Stampendous embossing tinsel in pink for the wooden rings, also from Fernli  Designs, and metal flower. It really gave them some fun sparkle!

 

Now it is time to get out the Embellie Gellie! I used it to place a lovely little holographic bling piece in the center of the metal piece.

 

I also used the Embellie Gellie to adhere the bling to the middle of the heart ATC and to the top as well.

 

The next step was using some ScraPerfect Transfer foils. I used some more of the Best Glue Ever in random spots all over the pink ATC. I rubbed some of pink foils on top to give some texture and dimension.

 

 

I added some word sentiments to them for a final touch and here is the finished ATC's!

 

ScraPerfect really made these ATC's fun and easy and I  hope you will give these simple projects a try.

Home Sweet Home Frame ScraPerfect DT Project

Hello ScraPerfect fans! Kim here today to share with you my next DT project. This time I have created a "home sweet home" style of frame for a dear friend of mine.

 

 

I gathered up my supplies to create this project, and of course I used The Best Glue Ever, it works so well with paper and wood.

 

 

 

I painted my frame up that I purchased at Michaels, with some of this delicious Patina paint from Prima.

 

 

After the paint was dry, I cut my paper to fit the frame.  I used the Best Glue Ever here to glue it down, it works so well!!

 

 

I also used the cardboard insert that came with the frame and again, using the Best Glue Ever, glued down the matching paper.

 



 

Here is where we are at so far....

 

 

Now it is time to paint my wooden sewing machine from Fernli Designs. I used some black Soy paint from Delta for this.

 

 

Once the paint was dry, I glued the sewing machine into the centre of the frame.

 





 

I felt the sewing machine needed a little sparkle, so I put a tiny drop of the Best Glue Ever on my work surface and cut out some rhinestone bling I had and glued it onto the piece.

 

 

Here you can see in the photo below I placed it on the sewing machine, it really gave it a nice sparkle!

 

 

I glued some laces around the middle of the frame and I wanted to add some bling to it, so this was a good opportunity to get out my Embellie Gellie and use it to glue town my tiny bling pieces, it work great!

 

 

You just take the stick that comes with the Embellie Gellie and use it on each of the bling pieces. I did use a tiny dab of the Best Glue ever as well, as the frame will be going in the mail to a friend, and I wanted to make sure it had that extra strong hold.

 

 

Now, it was time to add the rest of my embellishments. I added this lovely floral cameo with bling to the top left hand side of the frame.

 

 Here you can see I added flowers, ribbon, pearls, another cameo,  lace covered buttons to pick up on the sewing theme, and a metal sentiment from Prima to this corner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here once again is my finished frame. Total work time on this project was one hour. Its a simple and easy gift to make for the upcoming holiday season.

ScraPerfect DT Announcement and Art Card Project

Hello friends! I am very excited to announce that I am one of the newest members of the ScraPerfect Team! I am so thrilled to be working with such a great company, and of course also with such talented designers as the ScraPerfect team!

 

 

So a little about me to introduce myself to you all, and then I will share a little project I created using the amazing items from ScraPerfect.

 

I have been a crafter for a long time, I love to create, share and help to inspire others. When I was a child I wanted to be an animator for Walt Disney, but alas that was not meant to be, so I have found my own way to make the world a little more colourful. 

 I also love to make cards, ATC's, altered projects. mixed media canvas', and really dabble in most things creative. I also have a great love for art journaling! I am a trained floral designer as well, and owned my own flower shop for many years. 

I am a Mom to 4 gorgeous grown up kids and 3 amazing grandchildren. I can usually be found getting my hands messy in my art studio along side my trusty companion Miss Blue the cat, and of course my wonderful husband Doug.

 

Ok, now on to a quick project!

I created this Art Card to send to a friend, and it was the perfect opportunity to use some of the great items from ScraPerfect!

 

 

I got out The Best Glue Ever and went over the hair and the flowers on the fairy's wings with the glue. You have to wait until the glue has dried clear, to have it work with the Foil, that was the hard part, the waiting...I am an inpatient crafter lol.

 

 

Once the glue was dry, it was time for the foil. I used the Crimson Rain on the wings, and the Turquoise Rain on her hair.

All you have to do is lightly rub the foil over the places where you put the glue, and Voila! you have a very easy and cool foil accent for your project.

 

Once I was finished with the foil, I wanted to add some embellishments to the card. This was the perfect opportunity to use the Embellie Gellie. This stuff is very cool and so easy to use. You just put a little bit of the gellie on the end of the stick and place it where you want your embellishment. I used some very tiny blingy crystals, and it worked perfectly for this.

 



 

Here is a look at the card with the bling and the foil technique. She will be "winging" her way to a dear friend soon.
