Mixed Media Tags ScraPerfect DT

Good morning friends, Kim here today with my next project for ScraPerfect.
I have altered some garment tags this time, and the Best Glue Ever was the perfect compliment to making these tags.

I used some of my Distress Oxide Spray in Picked Raspberry, and then my Prima Bloom Spray in Cotton Candy. I wanted similar pink hues in the background and this achieved it.

Once the spray was dry it was time to get out the Best Glue Ever and glue down my rose images that were from a vintage gardening book.

I then added some coordinating fabric, some pink glittery thread and one of the Tim Holtz paper dolls, all glued down with the Best Glue Ever.

I love the tone on tone style of the tags, and the black and white images just pop on the hot pink flowers!

I hope you like my project today and have found some inspiration here.

Shabby Chic Altered Wall Key White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have done a home decor item! I got this heavy chipboard key from a local box store, and I thought it would be perfect to alter with lots of amazing items from the WRC Store.

The first step is to paint the sides and any areas that will show with some paint. I used a multi surface paint for this and it did the trick nicely. I also took the key and traced around it on some of the gorgeous Lemoncraft Yesterday paper.  Once the paint was dry, I used Mod Podge to stick down the paper.

While the key was drying, it was time to get out my embellishments and alter them to go on the key.
I used some fun chipboard pieces from the WRC store, and also the metal heart and flower are from the shop also.  I added some of the same paint I used on the key to the pieces and then added a touch of pink paint as well to pick up on the colours in the paper.

Once everything was dry, it was time to layer on my pieces.  I got out some Recollections flowers and used one of the Melissa Frances resin keys in the middle of the chipboard heart with wings
You can also see some of the Altair Art butterflies and one of the pieces from the Dress It up Button Set in the photo.

On the end of the key, I added some more flowers and the metal flower, along with a bit of the chicken wire chipboard, and a little butterfly to finish it off.

Of course everything got a lovely coat of Dovecraft glitter glue in Crystal, it makes everything sparkle!  The final touch was some of the Distress Oxide Spray in Picked Raspberry to make the pink stand out on the paper and flowers, it added just the right mixed media touch.

It turned out so pretty, I am going to hang it up in my bedroom!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and have found some inspiration here.

Always Bring Your Own Sunshine Art Journal Page White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.  I decided to do an art journal page this time, as this week we are sharing all things JilliBean Soup!
I was super inspired by the stamp set called My Sunshine by JilliBean Soup, and that got me thinking about creating a page with a sunshine theme, and this is the result.

I started off my page with some gesso and torn papers for the back ground.

Next, I added some of the Distress Oxide Sprays in Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade.

Once the sprays were dry, I used my gesso to give a loose impression of a head and body, so I had something to start my face from.

I also used the Studio Light Flowers stencil  and the Kaisercraft Parasol Stencil and some more of the Distress Oxide spray on my page.

I stamped my sentiment on some white paper, using some black Stayzon ink.

I also went around the stenciled images with my black Posca Pen to make them stand out more on the page.

I also used some of the Nuvo Drops in Simply White to give a bit of dimension to the flowers and stenciled images.

Don't forget to bring your sunshine with you where ever you go!
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here.

"Dream" Art Journal Page White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts. This time I am working in my White Rose Crafts Art Journal that I made in a previous post which you can find HERE

I have been working in my mini journal and decided to share this page which had some over-spray from a previous page. The paper is Neenah A2 Heavy cardstock  that I will be working on.

I started off using my Distress Oxides in Peacock feathers, and went all over the page, then used the Kaisercraft Parasol Stencil and my Dried Marigold Oxide. I then spritzed the page with some water to "activate" the oxides.

Once the page was dry, I cut some pieces from the Altair Art "Ever Dream" Ephemera sheet. I love this sheet, as I collect dreamcatchers and wanted to do a page featuring one of them from the sheet.

I used the Nuvo Drops in Duck Egg Blue on the dreamcatcher and added some turquoise thread behind it for some texture.  I also added Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard and also the Dovecraft Glitter glue in Crystal to add lots of sparkle to the page.

I added a K & Company Epoxy Sticker "dream" for my sentiment.

A final touch was the Distress Oxide Spray in Wilted Violet to add some spatters to the page.

Check out the White Rose Crafts Store for all the amazing products I have used today.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here.
