Altered Gift Bag ScraPerfect DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.

This time I have altered a paper bag to hold some lovely items for happy mail.

I started off using the Best Glue Ever on my Rice Paper image, you don't need much of the glue as it holds so well.

 Once the image was applied, I stared to layer on some laces and trims, also using the Best 

Glue Ever.  The lighter and thinner laces hold quite well with BGE, though it does take a bit longer to dry, but it holds very well.

I also used BGE for the epoxy gold circles to ensure they stayed down on the lace.

And here is my finished bag, all ready for filling with some lovely happy mail for a friend.

How To Make A Snippet Roll With The Best Glue Ever ScraPerfect DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.

I have created a snippet roll this time, and had lots of fun making it.

I needed at spool for my snippet roll, and didn't have one, so it was the Best Glue Ever to the rescue!

I am using a toilet tissue roll and two ends from a spool of ribbon.

I used vintage hymnal paper to cover all the pieces using The Best Glue Ever. The no clog writing cap, makes this easy for the glue to get to where it needs to be.

Once the pieces were covered in the paper, I used the Best Glue Ever to attach them all, by running a bead of glue around the edge of the tissue roll and attaching the two ends.

I added some trim to the edge and decorated the top of the spool with flowers and lace.

Now it was time to attach the fabric of the snippet roll.  

I decorated the fabric with images, vintage laces, ribbon roses and snippets of doilies.

Once I finished the roll, I rolled it up around the spool. Now it is ready to find its way to its new home, for someone to enjoy.

Shabby Altered Embroidery Hoop A Shabby is Chic Boutique DT Project

Hello friends, Kim here today to share my next project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Zibbet.

 

 

 

This time I have created a shabby altered embroidery hoop. I used lots of laces and trims from the SCB Store. I surrounded the hoop with some of the gorgeous aqua tulle trim. I just loves this stuff, it is probably my favorite trim in the SCB store.

 

I printed off the image of the bird from Pinterest, and put it inside a frame from Michaels.

 

I used more of the tulle trim, this time in ivory, around the frame to make the image very soft and romantic looking.

Vintage Inspired Notepad For Under A Fiver! ScraPerfect DT Project

Good morning friends, I have a quick and easy project to share with you today for ScraPerfect.

 

 

I love to make gifts for friends, and this one is super easy and quick to make and under a fiver, thanks to the Best Glue Ever! 

I began with a notepad I got from Michaels out of the $1.50 bin, now that is a bargain! 

 

 

The notepad had a cardboard front on it with a pattern, but I wanted to alter it and make it as a gift, and even though it cost under a fiver to make, it looks like a millon bucks when you are done.

 

I decided to cover the patterned front of the notepad with some lovely vintage inspired paper from my stash. I punched holes in the top of the paper so it would line up with the wire binding on the pad. I also designed a digital image of a vintage lady, colorized her, added some roses to her hat and corner of the photo and some script to really make it feel vintage. I used The Best Glue ever here as well to glue her down. I love that this glue dries so flat, and my printed images do not ripple at all when I use this glue.

 

I of course used The Best Glue Ever for sticking down the papers on the front and back. I love this stuff, and if you are like me and always glue things on crooked, then fear not, Best Glue Ever to the rescue!  It is repositionable! Yes, once the glue dries to a tacky feel, you can then stick it down on your project and then if it is crooked, lift it and reposition it. To me this is Heaven sent, I am forever getting my paper on crooked.

 

 

 

Now its time to start decorating my little note book. I used up all scraps of laces and trims from my stash. See? I told you it would be under $5 bucks to make!

 

 

I even used some left over morning coffee to dye my laces, so I wasn't even using up my expensive sprays in my stash. 

 

I also covered the back and used more left over laces and trims. The brown trim at the bottom is a cut up old doily I had in my stash, it makes great trim for the bottom of things.

 

Once again, here is my finished project.

 

So here is the break down for under $5 dollars.
