Making Envelopes from Vintage Wall Paper With ScraPerfect DT

Good morning everyone, Kim here with my next DT project for ScraPerfect.
This time I have used some vintage wallpaper to create envelopes for my junk journals.

With the help of the Best Glue Ever, it made short work of this project. These are super easy to make, just cut the wall paper to the size of your envelope that you want, fold, add BGE and voila! You have envelopes!

BGE also worked well with the no clog writing cap, to glue down my paper flowers too.

I also added some small trims to the back of the envelopes with BGE too, and some sentiments from the Tim Holtz Small Talk.

So there you have it, a super simple and easy project all with the help of ScraPerfect and the Best Glue Ever!

I hope you will check out all the products in the ScraPerfect Store.

Dot Mandela Art Journal Page White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have created an art journal page and made some fun dot mandela's on the page, and on this gorgeous dreamcatcher chipboard piece from the WRC Store.

I started off painting my page with some black gesso, then I got out my Studio Light Stencil from the WRC Store. I used my white chalk pencil to trace the stencil on the background. This enabled me to be able to follow the lines and use my dotting tools to create a pattern. Here is a photo of the stencil so you can see.

Once I was finished the background dotting, I got out this beautiful chipboard piece of a Dreamcatcher and painted it with white gesso. I then embellished it with more of the dots, using different sizes of the dotting tools.

I dotted around the dreamcatcher as well, as once I get going dotting, I can't seem to stop myself!

I added some Tim Holtz Sentiments to finish off my page.

Once again, here is the finished page. I love the striking colours against the black backdrop, and using the Studio Light Stencil made it easy to create fun mandela shapes.

Shabby Chic Pocket Letter White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts.
This time I have created a mini pocket letter, my very first time making one too!
I am using the Tim Holtz Page Pockets for the base, and also the Scrapberry Paper called Juliet for the paper pieces inside the pockets.

One of my new passions is doing dot mandela's and because I had some of the Chipboard butterflies to use for my pocket letter, I thought it would be fun to dot them up!

I painted them pink first and used my dotting tools to create a fun pattern on them which you can see
in the photo below. They look so pretty inside the pockets!

I tied the 2 pockets together with some pretty pink organza ribbon.
I also added a little ribbon rose, and some of the white lace from the WRC store.
The top left side of the pocket letter has a wooden key and lock from Kaisercraft wood flourish set.

Inside each of the pockets, I put a little surprise, in this one, I cut out an image from the paper and added 2 of the Tim Holtz mirrored stars for some sparkle.

My second butterfly looks so pretty with the Juliet paper in the background.  You can also see a little cameo head from the Kaisercraft wood flourish set.

I also added some sequins to the top pocket to create a little shaker pocket. I also added one of the pink flowers from WRC Store.

I added more of the ribbon and one of the pretty heart buckle sliders from the WRC Store, this really added lots of bling to my pocket letter.

I had fun making my very first pocket letter. The items from the WRC store made is super easy for me, and I love adding my own spin to this type of project.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here today!

The Victorian Man Mini Journal ScraPerfect DT

Good morning ScraPerfect Fans, I am here today with my next DT project! I made a fun mini junk journal this time, featuring this very dapper Victorian Man on the Cover.
I used the Tim Holtz Found Relatives Cards for the front and back cover for the journal.

For the spine, I used some vintage embroidery from a table runner, I coffee dyed it and it worked out great!

I punched at hole in the journal to add a fun little tag with a handsome stamped image on top of it.

Once I had the base together, it was time to add my coffee dyed papers. I made 2 signatures, and with the help of the Best Glue Ever, I popped a few dots of the glue in my knots to tie the signatures and this will help to keep them from ever coming undone.

I also used BGE on several other elements throughout my journal, including adding some lace to the cover, and adding some of the Rhinestone Wheel of Embellies to the centre of my Penny Farthing Bicycle.

I also added some BGE to the spine of the signatures to help hold them in the book when I bound the book.

For some of the pockets, I created tags using masculine fabrics, that I got as samples from furniture companies in the mail. These are FREE and great to use on a project like this!

I also used BGE to glue in the pocket on the inside cover from more of my free sample material.

A doily, vintage fabric button and coffee dyed sari silk finished off my tags.

And once again, here he is, a wee little ode to all the father's out there, past and present, whom we all love.
Happy Father's Day!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have found some inspiration here today.

Slender Journal For White Rose Crafts DT

Good morning friends, Kim here with my next DT project for White Rose Crafts
I was inspired by a video I saw by Creative Cafe Girl on Youtube, and also by a video by Roxycar11 on Youtube. They both were themselves inspired by a magazine article which featured this style of journal, and I wanted to give it a try too.

I am using the Art of Nature paper by Scrapberry for the base of my journal. The pages are 9 x 4 inches so very long and slender. I used some tea dyed sari silk to bind my pages together.

Once the pages were together, it was time to decorate. The Art of Nature paper from Scrapberry is so fun and pretty, it was a pleasure to decorate this journal!

The paper has lots of cut outs to use for journaling cards and sentiments.

I added some of the Tim Holtz paper dolls, and some butterfly ephemera for the wings on my people.

Here is the journal spread out once all the pages were decorated.

I created an extra little note pad to journal in out of some coffee dyed paper and a piece of left over
scrap paper from the collection. It is tucked in behind the two ladies for easy removal.

You also have the reverse side to decorate as well. I used some of the amazing laces in the WRC store to add some shabby chic touches to the pages.

All of my sentiments and embellishments got a coating of Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to make
them look more vintage.

I had so much fun making this slender journal, I hope you will give it a try too!
